Jamaica Announces a Culinary Jerk Trail
Montego Bay, Jamaica - June 11, 2009 - The Jamaican Tourism Ministry announced the launch of the Island's "Jerk Trail" where visitors and Jamaicans alike can sample the distinct flavors of Jamaica while following this culinary trail around four of the Island's Parishes. Hanover - Located on the northwestern tip of the island, Hanover is known for its agriculture, natural waterfalls, coves and caves.
Saint Ann - Located on Jamaica's north coast, Saint Ann is home to The Discovery Bay Marine Laboratory and is a popular tourist and scuba diving destination. Saint Ann produces the internationally popular Walkerswood Jerk Sauce.
Kingston - This metropolitan capital, located along the south shore, offers visitors the chance to explore Jamaica's history and culture.
Portland - The northeastern tip of Jamaica is the home of Jerk and boasts beautiful beaches and scenic, rural landscape.
